*Beta Club The National Beta Club is a Community Service based Honor Society. Students invited to apply for membership have a GPA of 3.75 or higher, hold no discipline referrals, and receive positive teacher recommendations. Each year the Beta Club completes several service projects. In the 2019-2020 year, the Beta Club collected over 3000 pieces of school supplies for a school that was in the SC Upstate destroyed by a tornado, and collected enough food to prepare 100 meal kits for the Deep Well project for Thanksgiving 2019.

Blue Wings is juniors and seniors helping mentor freshmen and new students at HHIHS. Our goal is to help make these students feel welcomed and less nervous about their new environment.

Book Club HHIHS is starting its first virtual book club and all students are invited. We will select a popular young adult novel, everyone will read on their own, and we will have a zoom to share our thoughts, feelings, and predictions.

Culture Club Cultural Club aims to celebrate diversity in our school by recognizing different festivities around the world. This is a club for making new friends and working unitedly with peers to enjoy and promote appreciation for the multiple cultures.

Debate Club The purpose of the Debate Club is to provide students an opportunity to practice public speaking skills. Develop sound logical arguments, and expand understanding of important social issues. Students will be able to design debate forums, participate in programs such as TED Talks and Toastmasters, and compete with other high school debate teams.

Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) The purpose of FCA is to engage, equip and empower athletes to unite, inspire and change the world through Jesus. The Campus meetings are initiated and led by student-athletes and coaches at the high school level. At Hilton Head High School we have Campus Huddles (or weekly meetings). We meet every Friday at 8:00am, location is to be determined. For more information see Ms. Emerick in A108.

*International Thespian Society The International Thespian Society is an honorary organization for high school theatre students located at more than 4,900 affiliated secondary schools across America and abroad. The mission of ITS is to honor student achievement in the theatre arts. High school inductees are known as Thespians. To earn membership in this society, you must earn points through your work and service to our school's theatre arts program.

Model UN Model United Nations is a simulation club where students act as delegates to different countries and debate on topics such as world peace, education, health care, global economy, war, etc. against other delegations. This year we will be competing in at least 2 virtual conferences. Hilton Head Island High School Model United Nations is also the “Best School Delegation” for the 2020 Beaufort Conference and we won several honorable and distinguished awards at the Georgia Southern Conference in early 2020.

*National French Honor Society La Société Honoraire de Français (NFHS), is a high school chapter that provides opportunities for students to get involved in activities related to French language
and Francophone literatures and cultures. It also encourages the participation in the annual writing contest and travel grant competition. Students who finished or are currently enrolled in French IB classes and French 3 will be invited to apply.

Pep Club This club is a great place to meet new friends and to contribute to school spirit. Members create designs such as banners and posters to support different school events, teams, and organizations. The goal is to encourage positive school spirit, and this can be accomplished through small service projects, too. Bring your ideas and your energy. Everyone is welcome.

*Quill and Scroll HHIHS’s Quill and Scroll Honor Society is driven to recognize student journalists who have shown outstanding ability in the field of journalism. The criteria for their membership includes but is not limited to outstanding journalistic scholarship and service to our school and community, no discipline infractions as well as a minimum of two consecutive journalism classes must have been taken during their high school career.

Beach Botics is Hilton Head Island High School’s VEX V5 Robotics Club. Beach Botics is designed to unite all students who have and interest in Robotics. Seahawk Stage Company Seahawk Stage Company is designed for students interested in learning more about the aspects of theater performance. This includes learning stage terminology, acting skills, set building, and costumes/makeup design. We will have monthly club meetings for all students wishing to learn more about theatre, and by joining the SSC, you will have the opportunity to audition or tech for plays and musicals that we put on each year. Science National Honor Society The purpose of this organization is to encourage participation in and recognition of scientific and intellectual thought. It is to advance the students' knowledge of classical and modern science, to communicate with the scientific community, and to aid the civic community with its comprehension of science.

Writing Club The purpose of the Writing Club is to give students time and space to share their writing with others for fun and to offer advice or to get feedback. This club was started by students with a love for writing. Members are encouraging and meetings are relaxing. Members may wish to enter writing contests as they arise, but this is not a requirement. “Write what you like; there is no other rule.” -O’Henry.
