End of year information regarding school records,
transfer, or withdrawal

If a transcript, etc. is needed for school transfer please follow the steps below:

    1. Parent/legal guardian notifies Mrs. Benton in School Counseling ( student name, DOB, reason for transfer, and new school information. Your student will remain in the system through the end of the 2019-20 school year.
    2. Parent, legal guardian, or student bring outstanding tablet/charger/textbooks/calculator/obligations to HHIHS Main Office during school business hours.
    3. New school instructed to email (or fax: 843-689-4952) a Record Request Form to and we will follow-up with final, official records beginning on June 22 when records for underclassmen have been processed and made available.  
      • A Record Request Form is a mandatory part of the withdrawal process and is required by the state of SC Department of Education to verify the student is enrolled at another school and only at that time will the student be removed from our dropout list.

The HHIHS School Counseling Office aims to provide students with the support needed to achieve academic success and the tools needed to successfully transition to higher education, the military, or the world of work. 

Our School Counseling Staff believes in parent and student communication and are always available for parent questions and/or concerns through email and by phone. Please do not hesitate to call or email with detailed information so we can best prepare to provide appropriate assistance. 

The School Counseling Office is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. until 3:45 p.m. during the school year. Counselors are available to see students on a walk-in basis before school, after school, during lunch and during Independent Learning Time (ILT).

NOTE: School Counselors see parents and new student registrations by appointment only.

To request a copy of your official HHIHS transcript or immunization records  
complete the above Alumni Record Request Form along with photo ID and

Mrs Benton will process your order and send notification when it has been completed. Beaufort County School District requires up to 10 business days to process requests, please make sure your records are requested in a timely manner. Unofficial transcripts cannot be requested by alumni. Official transcripts are sent using secure software direct to institution (like Naviance, Parchment) or by USPS mail.

Effective January 23, 2018, Beaufort County School District offers a secure and convenient way to request student records. The process is quick and easy to use. Click the link below for more information. We no longer accept fax, phone or mail requests.
