School Improvement Council (SIC)

SIC Logo

School Improvement Councils (SICs) serve to support the school in an advisory role, bringing together parents, educators, students and community stakeholders to collaborate on the improvement of their local school as well as assisting in the development of the school's five-year improvement plan.

All meetings are open to the public and all stakeholders are encouraged to attend, share ideas, and collaborate. Only SIC members are eligible to vote.

SICs are mandated by law to exist in every public school in South Carolina.
