About Us

We proudly serve our students and community as an International Baccalaureate World School, offering two IB programsmes: Middle Years and IB Diploma. Our focus is to ensure an engaging and challenging education for all of our students. Students come to Hilton Head Island High School from Hilton Head Island Middle school and the private schools on or near the island. Many of our students have immigrated to our area from numerous Latin and South American countries, such as Mexico, Honduras, Ecuador, and Columbia. 

Our IB Diploma Programme is a true point of pride at Hilton Head Island High School. Prior to junior year, students decide whether they will pursue an IB Diploma, but the rigorous IB classes are still open to those who do not choose this path. Additionally, Beaufort County students interested in the IB Diploma Programme can apply for the BCSD Choice Program, allowing them to attend Hilton Head Island High School even if they are outside of the attendance zone (provided there is space available).
