The Memory Project 2025
Video of Malawi Children Receiving Portraits
From Ben Schumaker, founder and Director of the Memory Project:
All of these kids have faced substantial life challenges, given that Malawi is one of the world's most financially disadvantaged countries. They had never imagined seeing themselves in works of art, so they were fascinated by what you created for them. The vast majority have never left their villages, and they were amazed to know that you sent these gifts from so far away.
