Flash Fiction Writing Contest

Island Writers’ Network is hosting a flash fiction writing competition for our juniors and seniors.

 

  1. What:  Students will write a 2-3 page flash fiction story that incorporates a sentence with the following start:  “Someone left a bunch of ketchup packets on the table, so I . . .”

     

  2. Where:  Finalists will be invited to attend the IWN monthly meeting on Monday, April 8 at the Bayshore, ,421 Squire Pope Rd., HHI, SC at 7:00 PM to collect their prize and read their story.  The first place winner will also be published on IWN’s website.

     

  3. When:  Competition opens February 1, 2020.  All entries are due by February 15, 2020 at midnight to Mrs. Abrams.  Students may drop off hard copies to B 108, or they can submit by email attachment to Elizabeth.abrams@beaufort.k12.sc.us, or they can upload a copy to Google classroom code: jycnkso (classwork tab-IWN Flash Fiction Competition).
