The 2025 Regional Scholastic Art & Writing Awards have been published!
We are all VERY proud of our Hilton Head art students! If you are unfamiliar with these annual awards, the awards are the longest-running program that highlights art achievement amongst young artists in the US. If a student receives a Gold or Silver Key, it is the equivalent of achieving 1st & 2nd place in our region.
These awards have set quite the precedence in the art world for the past 101 years. All regional & national awards could turn into cash awards. For instance, Gold Keys are given $3,000 off your tuition and National Silver medals are worth $9,000 off your tuition at SCAD. All Gold keys advance to the national level for jurying.

The annual "World's Largest" Garage Sale put on by HHIHS is cancelled for the next two years due to construction of the new school. Please do not contact the office. Once construction is finalized, and a new parking lot is built, the intent is to restore the garage sale event. Stay tuned for updates as construction ends.
Mr. Schidrich took SGA members on the roof to have a look at their new school footprint. The construction process continues on the new 3 story building that will eventually replace much of the existing HHIHS building. With the steel framing and concrete stairways rising into the sky, the students were able to envision their new school.
Mr. Schidrich was named Secondary Principal of the Year for SY 2023-24 by BCSD. We are so proud of all of his accomplishments and dedication to HHIHS! #WayToGoSeahawk
